Dual Investment Program
Joshua Venture Group’s primary initiative, the Dual Investment Program, invests in visionary leaders and their groundbreaking ideas. After a rigorous selection process, conducted once every two years, Fellows are accepted into the Program, which provides each participant with funding and support services worth over $80,000. Over the course of two years, Fellows develop the skills they need to turn their fledgling operations into stable organizations that can scale, grow, and transform the Jewish community.
Applications are now closed for the 2016-2018 cohort.
The Dual Investment Program provides Fellows with the following resources over two years:
$30,000/year in unrestricted funding and $7,000/year in stipends for professional and organizational development support and to subsidize health insurance.
Annual retreats, workshops, and individual coaching for more effective leadership.
Gatherings and peer coaching develop a strong support network among the cohort, as well as among the program’s 38 alumni.
The JVG community and its networks are collaborative, supportive, and accessible.
More prominent recognition on a national stage, including access to gatherings such as Slingshot Day and JFNA’s General Assembly.
Strong candidates for the Dual Investment Program will demonstrate:
- Bold Visions: A compelling idea that addresses a critical need or fills a programmatic gap and that demonstrates potential for transformative impact — with particular emphasis on reinvigorating the Jewish community;
- Dynamic Leadership: A skilled practitioner or visionary, whose expertise or insight aptly positions them to drive forward a vision for social change; and
- Real Progress: Groundwork has been laid or thoughtful plans are in place for creating the organizational infrastructure necessary to realize the vision.
Fellows are required to commit full-time (at least 35 hours per week) to their ventures for the duration of the program.
