The mission of the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation (JPEF) is to develop and distribute effective educational materials about the Jewish partisans and their life lessons, bringing the celebration of heroic resistance against tyranny into educational and cultural organizations.

JPEF has produced a comprehensive and thought-provoking new curriculum called RESIST, designed to transmit the enduring understandings arising from the stories of the Jewish partisans. With layers of interactivity unprecedented in most any curriculum, RESIST is designed for 6th-12th grade students in formal and informal settings and is now being implemented in Jewish and secular schools worldwide.

Bio
Mitch Braff grew up outside San Francisco, California, and studied film at the University of California at Santa Barbara. In his senior year at UCSB, he completed a documentary about an inner city arts program, Jazz in the Classroom. The film, which featured Wynton Marsalis, played in several festivals around the world and received several awards. After he graduated, Mitch launched Danser Productions, a film and new media concern, whose corporate clients include Dockers, Sony, Yahoo! and Wells Fargo.

After meeting with various people in education and Holocaust studies, Mitch realized that there was a need to record the stories of Jewish partisans. He founded the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation to celebrate the strength of the human spirit over bigotry and oppression through educating students across the globe about the partisans’ stories.
